Environment

Intel® Server System M50CYP

Description

Unable to change BIOS settings.
All options are greyed out.
Attempted to log in with a password but settings remained inaccessible.

Resolution

Restart the system and log in using the Administrator password to change BIOS settings.

During boot, the system will prompt to enter a password. Enter the Administrator password here.

To clear the password, use the Passwd_Clr jumper on the Intel® Server Board. Refer to the Technical Product Specification for the jumper location and procedure.

To set the password, go to BIOS settings (press F2 during boot) and select the Security option in the main menu.
