Intel® Optane™ memory is detected in the operating system as a standard storage SSD, but unable to validate if this can be used to store data and not as an accelerator.
Intel® Optane™ memory devices are detected and enumerated in the operating system as standard PCIe* NVMe* storage devices.
Functionally storing data on the device will work, but using it as a standalone storage device is not supported or validated by Intel, and results are not guaranteed.
Supported usage is for this device to be a cache/acceleration device for slower media. See the User Guides for Intel® Optane™ Memory Devices for more information.
