Are Consistency Check (CC) Corrections Signs of a Corrupted RAID System?

A system with an Intel® RAID Controller RS3DC080 is running a weekly consistency check that returns around 20-30 corrections every time it runs. Is this expected behavior?

• Consistency Check (CC) is an operation that verifies that all stripes in a virtual drive (VD) with a redundant RAID level are consistent and that automatically fixes any errors. For RAID 1 drive groups, this verifies correct mirrored data for each stripe
• When CC is first run on a RAID volume that has not been fully initialized, CC errors are expected, and this is not an indication of a failure.
• It is not uncommon to find inconsistencies for a VD, however, if inconsistencies is always found in periodic CC, there might be an issue.
