Cannot Enable Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) Using CyberLink UHD BD-Advisor* on Windows® 10

BIOS with only Software Controlled option for Intel® SGX

Summary

Ensure operating system is installed in Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) mode so that SGX can be enabled using CyberLink UHD BD-Advisor*.

Description
  1. Tried to use CyberLink Advisor* to enable Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX)
  2. Ran test for Ultra HD Blu-ray compatibility
  3. Cannot click Not Available next to Intel® SGX
  4. No info icon to the right
Resolution
  1. Check if Windows® 10 is booted in Legacy or UEFI Mode using one of these options.
  2. If Windows 10 is in Legacy mode, change to UEFI mode in BIOS and reinstall Windows® 10.
  3. Use CyberLink Advisor* to enable Intel SGX.
Additional information

Intel® SGX cannot be enabled in Software Controlled mode if the operating system (OS) is installed in Legacy Mode instead of UEFI mode. Enabling Intel SGX via Software Controlled is possible only if the OS is booted in UEFI mode.
