Description

How do I see the current state of drives connected to an Intel® Integrated RAID Module RMS3JC080 without rebooting the server?

Resolution

You can use either of the methods below to see the state of the drives connected to the above mentioned IR-based Intel® RAID Controllers:

  • Intel® RAID Web Console 3 (RWC3)
RWC3 is supported on Windows* and Linux* that can monitor and manage select Intel RAID products. Refer to the RWC3 user guide for installation and usage details.

    RAID Web Console 3

  • SAS3IRCU
SAS3IRCU is a command line–based application that can be found inside the firmware page. Refer to the software user guide (Appendix A: Using the SAS-3 Integrated RAID Configuration Utility) for details on the command options and syntax.

The following syntax can be used to display the state of the drives:

    sas3ircu.exe 0 display

    sas3ircu.exe 0 display
