Boxed Intel® Xeon® W-3175X Processor
ASUS ROG Dominus* Extreme workstation board or Gigabyte C621* motherboard
Description
- ASUS* motherboard will not boot and displays error code 00 or 60.
- Gigabyte* motherboard will not boot.
Resolution
- Check the seating of the processor in its motherboard's socket.
- Check that the motherboard’s power supply cables are attached as instructed in the motherboard documentation and power supply documentation.
- Check the installation of the 3rd party cooling solution.
- Verify that the cooling solution is not pushing down too hard or pulling up on the processor.
- With the ASUS motherboard running, press the small red-colored Safe Boot button to force a reconfigure and reboot. This button is located near the power Start button.
- Follow the motherboard user guide.
- With the ASUS motherboard, confirm that the LN2 Mode Jumper is set to the Enable position.
Also, many ASUS motherboards have a feature called USB BIOS FlashBack™ that allows you to update the BIOS without booting into the operating system or even having a CPU or RAM installed. This is particularly useful when experiencing a "no-boot no post" event, as it allows you to potentially fix the issue by updating the BIOS to a compatible version.
