Unable to detect an Intel® Optane™ SSD.

Resolution

Instead of using an M.2 cable:

  1. Install the Intel® Optane™ SSD to a backplane.
  2. Use an OCuLink (optical copper link) cable.
  3. Or install it via a RAID (redundant array of inexpensive disks) controller or a PCIe* (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) switch.

 

Note

Even if the model of the U.2 to M.2 cable is validated by Intel for Intel® Server Boards, this configuration is not supported in the Intel® Server Board S2600ST Family.
