System Hangs during POST with “Memory Not Detected” Error

Fatal error: Memory not detected  Error

Notes:

POST Code E8 shows up, too. 

The situation started with memory errors, related to CPU1.

Resolution

Proceed as follows:

Contact Support with the system event logs for review if the situation persists.

  1. Clear the system event log and load the BIOS default settings (see below); this is if pressing F2 takes the system into the BIOS, alright:
    1. Press <F9> to restore BIOS default settings.
    2. Reset any customized BIOS settings.
    3. Enable the Clear System Event Log option, which is located in the Server Management tab of the BIOS Setup utility.
    4. Finally, press <F10> to save the new settings and reboot the system.
