Description

Showing yellow exclamation point in device manager in a system with Intel® Processor.

Resolution

Follow the steps below as they may resolve your issue:

  1. Install the latest Windows* updates.  This will ensure you have the latest software/drivers.
  2. If you have added new hardware in your self-built system and a yellow exclamation mark is showing, install Chipset INF Utility to identify the proper naming for the added hardware in your system.  Make sure to reboot your system after the installation.
  3. If the steps above do not work, try to update the drivers using the device manager.
    1. Open Device Manager.
    2. Click Processors.
    3. Expand Processors.
    4. Click on any of the instances of the processors.
    5. Right-click and choose Update driver.
