Description

Which F6-drivers should I use from the Windows* Intel® VROC software package during a Windows* operating system (OS) installation? The available options are:

  • iaRNVMe.free.win7.64bit.ver
  • iaRNVMe.free.win8.64bit.ver
  • iaStorE.free.win7.64bit.5.ver
  • iaStorE.free.win8.64bit.ver
  • iaVROC.free.win7.64bit.ver
  • iaVROC.free.win8.64bit.ver

Resolution

There are various F6 drivers depending on the type of Intel® VROC RAID volume used as the bootable volume:

  • iaStorE drivers are for SATA and sSATA drives.
  • iaVROC drivers are for NVMe* drives (when attached to the Intel® VMD controller).
  • iaRNVMe is the driver designated for Intel platforms that do not support Intel® VMD technology.
