No Options to Set Up RAID in the Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management / Intel® RST Application

• No option in BIOS that allows the system to set up a RAID. Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management
• Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) apps not able to set up the RAID

On supported platforms, RAID can be enabled in the BIOS or the OS using the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology driver/software

If these options are not available, it may be due to an issue with the configuration:

1. Are there enough drives in the system to support RAID? See related information.
2. Is the system configured properly to support Intel RST RAID? See below.

1. Press the F2 or Del key as the system starts to power on to enter the BIOS.
2. Locate and change the SATA Controller from AHCI to RAID/Intel® RST Premium.
3. Locate the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology menu.
4. Select Create Volume and follow the prompts to configure the volume.
   1. If you wish to create/manage volumes in the operating system, this can be done after step 2 above within supported Intel RST applications for your platform.
5. Press the F10 key to save the BIOS settings and exit the BIOS Setup program.

If AHCI is enabled in the Chipset SATA Mode in the BIOS, the RAID is not going to be able to be created and the Intel® RST will not work.
