This article helps to recognize the SATA disks on server board which is mounted on a Chenbro* RM23608 chassis.
Trying to create RAID( Redundant Array of Independent/Inexpensive Disks) using 8 SATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) disks directly on board, the disks are not visible in BIOS (basic input/output system) neither in AHCI (Advance Host Controller Interface) mode neither RAID mode, it seems that SATA Controller is disabled.
In order to solve the issue please follow the steps bellow:
- Disconnect all the mini SAS cables from board.
- Make sure that CHENBRO* 80H10323606A2 backplane is disconnected.
- Update the Firmware Package
