Why my SATA Disks are not visible in BIOS on Intel® Server Board S2600ST?

Description

Trying to create RAID( Redundant Array of Independent/Inexpensive Disks) using 8 SATA (Serial  Advanced Technology Attachment) disks directly on board, the disks are not visible in BIOS (basic input/output system) neither in AHCI (Advance Host Controller Interface) mode neither RAID mode, it seems that SATA Controller is disabled.

Resolution

In order to solve the issue please follow the steps bellow:

  1. Disconnect all the mini SAS cables from board.
  2. Make sure that CHENBRO* 80H10323606A2 backplane is disconnected.
  3. Update the Firmware Package
