Server Related – No Display When Video Card Is Installed on the Intel® Server Board S2600ST

Environment

Intel® Server Board S2600STBR 1x Intel® Xeon® Gold 5120 Processor 2x PCIe video cards (RTX 2080 TI), one on PCIe slot 4 and the other on 6

Description

After adding dedicated video cards on Intel® Server Board S2600STB, there is no display output.

It may also happen that just one of the video cards works.

Resolution

  1. For single processing set-ups, ensure the PCIe video cards are using slots controlled by CPU 1 (Slots 5 and 6). Refer to the Product Architecture Overview of the Technical Product Specification for the Intel® Server Board S2600ST Family.
  2. As an additional step to consider, make sure the BIOS is the latest. See BIOS Update for Intel® Server Boards
Note

In some cases, it might be necessary to connect the AUX(Auxiliary) power connector to the graphics card.
