Factory BIOS Firmware Version on Intel® Server Boards and Systems
This article explains the changes being implemented for the following Intel® Server Boards and Intel® Server Systems.
Intel is implementing the Factory BIOS Firmware version on the Intel® Server Boards and Intel® Server Systems listed in the Products Affected table below.

Intel Server Boards with factory firmware will display the following message on each boot until the BIOS is updated:
Warning | This Server is running factory firmware. A software update is required. As part of your system integration process, please load the latest system update package (SUP) to enable the latest security, quality and performance. |
| Note | Update the factory-installed firmware from the respective system software update package version after receiving your Intel® Server Board. Refer to the software release notes for a list of changes. Factory BIOS firmware has the advantage of downgrade without BIOS Recovery jumper moving for the first time. |
