Description

How to get BSDL files for testing purposes?

Resolution

Intel Ethernet BSDL (Boundary Scan Description Language) files are not available for direct public download and typically require an active Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) or privileged account status with Intel to access. Because these files contain proprietary information regarding the internal JTAG boundary-scan architecture of Intel Ethernet controllers, they are heavily restricted compared to standard software drivers.

To obtain the specific BSDL files you need for JTAG testing, use the following officially supported methods:

Intel Developer Zone

If your company is an active Intel customer or tier partner:

    1. Log into your account via the Intel Developer Zone.
    2. If your account holds Premier access privileges, you can search for and download restricted hardware models directly from the secure technical documentation database.
    3. If you lack these permissions, contact your company's designated Intel Field Application Engineer (FAE) or account manager to have the files provisioned for your project
