Troubleshooting tips to fix read scan errors during a full or quick diagnostic scan with the Intel® Memory and Storage Tool
Read scan errors detected while doing a quick or full diagnostic scan with the Intel® Memory and Storage Tool (Intel® MAS).
If errors are encountered during a diagnostic scan, try the tips below to fix it:
- Check the drive's firmware version and if required, perform a firmware update. For firmware updates; refer to Firmware Versions for Intel® Solid State Drives and Intel® Optane™ Memory.
- Perform a secure erase. Below are links of suggested ways to perform a secure erase/low level format on Intel® SSDs:
