Enabling Support for 2 Terabyte Drives or Larger for Intel® Desktop Boards

Install & Setup

Unified Extended Firmware Interface (UEFI) must be enabled in BIOS if you plan to use a bootable hard drive that is 2 terabytes or larger. This is not a requirement for drives that will be used for storage purposes only.

To enable UEFI:

  1. Press F2 during startup to enter the BIOS setup.
  2. Go to the Boot menu.
  3. Set UEFI Boot to Enable.
  4. Press F10 to save and exit.
