Summary: 

A potential security vulnerability in the Intel® 50 Gbps Ethernet (50GbE) Intellectual Property (IP) Core for Intel® Quartus Prime may allow denial of service.  Intel is releasing a software update to mitigate this potential vulnerability.

Description: Uncaught exception in the Intel(R) 50GbE IP Core for Intel(R) Quartus Prime before version 20.2 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable denial of service via local access.

Intel® Quartus Prime before version 20.2.

Recommendations:

Intel recommends updating Intel® Quartus Prime to 20.2 or later and discontinuing use of the Intel® 50GbE IP Core.  The Intel® 100GbE IP Core is a recommended alternative.
