About Analysis & Synthesis Assignments |
|
Analysis & Synthesis assignments allow you to achieve higher design performance or use fewer resources on the device. The default settings yield the best results for most designs.
The Optimization Technique logic option is the most commonly used Analysis & Synthesis setting and adjusting this setting can help the design overcome speed or area constraints. The other Analysis & Synthesis settings are intended for advanced users and should be used sparingly and with care. Adjusting the settings of the majority of the Analysis & Synthesis options can cause problems with the design fitting and timing.
In the Quartus II software you can create project-wide Analysis & Synthesis assignments in the Settings dialog box, or you can use the Assignment Editor to create assignments to individual nodes and entities.
