Video Recording Technologies Privacy Notice

This privacy notice explains what personal information about you Intel Corporation ("Intel," "We," or "Our") collects through the use of image and video recording systems and technologies on Intel premises.
Images and videos that might include recognizable faces, activities conducted in the camera frame, identification badges, location information, or license plate numbers.
Collection methods include the use of security cameras, also known as closed-circuit television (CCTV), located throughout Intel buildings and properties, vehicle dash cameras, and cell phones operated by Intel security personnel relating to security incidents or investigations, cameras attached to drones, and cameras attached to other robotics technologies.
Intel uses the personal information captured by the image and video recording systems for the following purposes:
- To manage access to facilities and secured areas, monitor critical infrastructure, and respond to incidents.
- To ensure the safety and security of individuals (e.g., employees, contingent workers, privileged visitors, guests, vendors, etc.).
- To protect Intel property (including but not limited to intellectual property).
- To support product integrity (e.g., detecting tampering) and loss prevention.
- To review incidents and, where necessary, undertake investigations and/or implement disciplinary procedures.
- To monitor production processes to protect Intel's property and for the purposes of quality control.To plan construction activities, work site configurations, and document and evaluate project progress.
- To use in promotional materials.
- To assist in the operation of facilities, including monitoring and managing space occupancy (cafeterias, collab rooms, etc), enhance the efficiency of contracted services, deliver mail within our facilities, etc.
- To read gauges and other displays, enable automated visual inspections, assist with defect detection, identify hazards, and monitor production lines and safety protocols.
- For aerial surveillance to support security and operational needs.
- To develop, train, support, and maintain algorithms, models and related technologies, with the ultimate goal to improve our applications and services.
We do not deploy these technologies in private areas such as restrooms, changing rooms, or any other location where individuals have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
Intel's legal basis for collecting personal information under this policy depends on the relevant jurisdiction and purpose. The legal basis is either legitimate interest, public security, legal obligation or consent.
We may disclose your personal data to our affiliates, service providers, business partners, and other third parties for legitimate business purposes, including management and operation of our facilities, public safety and security, in accordance with applicable laws. Specific purposes for sharing include:
- To law-enforcement authorities when Intel (or its agents) are required by law to make a report regarding the suspected commission of a crime.
- Following a request by law enforcement authorities when a crime or suspected crime has taken place and/or when it is suspected that illegal behavior is taking place on Intel property.
- To individuals (or their representatives), pursuant to a data-access request under data protection law.
- To individuals (or their legal representatives) where Intel is subject to a court order or similar legal obligation.
- In order to obtain legal advice or for the purpose of legal proceedings.
- To Intel’s insurers when they require the data in order to review a claim for damage done to persons or property.
- To certain other bodies/agencies when Intel is requested to do so, and disclosure is consistent with the legitimate interests described herein.
- To construction partners and third-party suppliers to create and review project-progress reports, and for press releases via the Intel Newsroom.
- To affiliates, business partners and third-party suppliers to improve and develop our applications and services.
As a global company, Intel transfers images and video recordings across international borders for the purposes described in this Notice. We adhere to applicable data protection laws and implement appropriate safeguards to protect personal data during such transfers. These safeguards may include standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules, or other mechanisms recognized by relevant authorities to ensure that personal data is protected as required by local laws.
For Corporate Security purposes, images and video recordings are retained for 31 days by default in all areas except for manufacturing locations (excluding Ireland), which keep the video for 90 days. In some locations, the retention period might be longer or shorter, as stipulated in local contracts or in accordance with local, applicable laws.
For all other purposes, images and video recordings are retained for a limited period, as defined by legal requirements and company policy, after which they are securely deleted unless required for ongoing investigations or legal proceedings, or for the development, training and support of algorithms, models, and related technologies.
Information Security
The images and video recordings are stored securely, with access restricted to authorized personnel only.
