Detailed Description

Purpose

The purpose of the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool is to verify the functionality of an Intel® microprocessor. The diagnostic tool checks for brand identification, verifies the processor operating frequency, tests specific processor features, and performs a stress test on the processor.

The Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool release 4.5 is compatible with multiprocessor systems.

Note: There are three 64-bit zip files:

  • IPDT_Installer_4.5_64bit_online.zip (Recommended) 
  • IPDT_Installer_4.5_64bit_offline.zip
  • IPDT_Installer_4.5_64bit_src.zip (source code for the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool test modules)

After downloading the zip, follow below steps:

  1. Install Windows* installer package (IPDTw64.msi)
  2. Install application (setup.exe).
