5.4. Hardware Inspection
Since the objective of using Intel® Simics® tool is to simulate the behavior of a system, the solution is incomplete if you are unable to observe what is happening inside the simulated hardware in a non-intrusive way. This section describes some inspection features that Intel® Simics® simulator offers for this purpose. Initially, this allows you to understand how the simulated hardware is being integrated and then what is the current state of this at a certain point of the simulation session. In the examples shown in the following sections, the assumption is that the target system simulation setup has been already done and this is ready to be run.
