4.2. Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
You can download a Nios® V processor design example from the Intel FPGA Design Store. The design examples provide scripts that allow you to automate the design example generation, build both a BSP project and a simple application project. The design examples are preset to an Intel FPGA device.
Follow these steps to acquire the Nios V processor example design:
- Open the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software.
- Select Open Example Project from the homepage.
- In the New Project Wizard (Design Example), fill up the following options:,
- What is the working directory for this project?
- Load from – Online design examples
- Family – Select the target Intel FPGA device
- Intel Quartus Prime version – Select the correct software version.
- Development kit – Select the Intel FPGA development kit
- Select the design example.
- The info box at the right displays the basic details of the example design.
- Click Next and accept the Software License Agreement.
- The example design is ready for customization.
- Refer to the readme.txt in the project directory for how-to guide.
