Intel® Bridge Technology

Overview

Intel® Bridge Technology (Intel® BT) is a runtime post compiler that enables certain Android* applications not written in Java* or compiled to run natively on Intel-based devices to run on x86-based smart devices. Intel BT has been successfully deployed across 100 million client and IoT devices and cloud server applications.

With Intel BT, independent software vendors (ISVs) and larger software publishers can:

  • Enable thousands of Android* applications for Windows* and Linux* users
  • Ensure a comparable high-quality user experience
  • Achieve consistent positive feedback from customers

Features

Intel BT is transitioning from a private, closed release to a more general, business-to-business licensed product. With this technology, you can:

  • Support multiple host operating systems such as Windows or Linux
  • Maintain compliance with the latest Android releases
  • Deploy applications more easily with a short adaptation period
  • Deliver high compatibility for popular Android applications. (All of the top 100 Google Play* free applications achieved a 97% compatibility rating.)
