This document provides details about hardware, operating system, and software prerequisites for the Intel® DPC++ Compatibility Tool.

Supported Host Operating Systems

The following distributions are supported.

Linux* Host

  • Ubuntu* 18.04
  • Ubuntu* 20.04
  • Red Hat* Enterprise Linux* 8.x
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES)* 15 SP2, SP3
  • Fedora 34

Windows* Host

  • Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • Microsoft* Windows Server* 2019

Software Requirements


Certain CUDA* header files may need to be accessible to the tool (Supported CUDA versions are: 8.0, 9.x, 10.1, 10.2, 11.0 ~11.6)

Linux* Host

  • Python* 3.0 or later
  • Make* 4.0 or later
  • GCC* 7.5 or later

Windows* Host

  • Microsoft* Visual Studio* 2017, 2019 or 2022

Development Environment

Microsoft* Visual Studio*

  • Microsoft Visual Studio (version 2017, 2019 or 2022) needed if using Visual Studio IDE for development.
