Advanced Physical Synthesis in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software

We discuss the advanced physical synthesis optimizations performed in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software – optimizations that perform surgical netlist modifications by considering the physical information that are readily available during and after the place and route process. The key objective of physical synthesis is to improve the Quality of Results (QoR) metrics, such as maximum frequency (fMAX) and user design area, with minimal compile time overhead.
