High-level specifications for Intel Platform Monitoring Technology (Intel® PMT). This document describes how a telemetry framework may be implemented across all Intel products, including CPU, PCH, Intel® FPGA, Accelerators, and so on. Collecting and reporting telemetry allows for a more detailed understanding of the operation of the system from which the telemetry is obtained. In some cases, this is used to observe and/or diagnose power consumption issues. In other cases, it is used to aid in the optimization of the behavior of a platform either using on-line or offline techniques.
