Point-to-point links designed for performance and reliability
Intel® QuickPath Technology uses Intel® QuickPath Interconnect, which provide high-speed, point-to-point serial links inside and outside of the processor to connect distributed shared memory, the internal cores, the I/O hub, and other Intel® processors for fast data transfers.

Intel® QuickPath Technology comprises multiple pairs of high-speed, narrow uni-directional, point-to-point links. By grouping several paths together with intelligent link management, Intel® QuickPath Technology can deliver up to 25.6 GB/s between components and maintain communications even when a link fails.
Together, integrated memory controllers within the processors and Intel® QuickPath Technology deliver:
- Dynamically scalable interconnect bandwidth designed for maximum performance in all embedded designs
- Outstanding memory performance and flexibility to support leading memory technologies
- Tightly integrated interconnect reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS) with design-scalable configurations for optimal balance of price, performance, and energy efficiency
This level of inter-processor, processor-to-memory, and processor-to-I/O communications, along with integrated memory controllers and distributed shared memory architecture, accelerates application performance and enhances reliability for a wide range of multi-core and multi-socket embedded applications.
