The International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM) is held each year in December, alternating between the west coast and Washington, DC. It is the world's premier conference for the presentation of advances in nano- and microelectronics and microelectronics-related devices and processes. No other meeting offers the presentation of so much leading work in so many different areas of microelectronics. This year some 220 invited and contributed technical papers will be presented, chosen from more than 600 abstracts submitted by leading researchers around the world. There also will be a full slate of the popular IEDM short courses and evening panel debates, along with thought-provoking invited plenary talks.
Keynote Luncheon Speaker
Dr. Andrew Grove, Chairman of the Board of the Intel Corporation, has been a pioneer and leader of the microelectronics technology and business revolutions, as well as a world-renowned educator through his textbooks, which are still at the heart of many semiconductor classes in leading institutions. His talk on the "Changing Vectors of Moore's Law" will be a highlight of the IEDM this year.
