AT&T Wireless And Intel Offer Mobile Computing Solutions To U.S. Corporations

Companies to Sell AT&T Wireless' Wireless Data Portfolio through Intel Product Dealers

REDMOND, Wash. and SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 10, 2003 - AT&T Wireless (NYSE:AWE) and Intel Corporation today announced a comprehensive distribution program in which Intel will promote and sell AT&T Wireless' portfolio of advanced, wireless wide-area and local area data solutions through the Intel Product Dealer Channel.

Intel's product dealer program represents one of the largest contingents of value added resellers in the United States that sell PCs and consulting and networking services to small- and medium-sized businesses. Starting today, more than 200 Intel channel members are actively selling AT&T Wireless' General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Wi-Fi data solutions. The two companies are also working together on co-branded marketing activities to inform users they are in an AT&T Wireless Wi-Fi hot spot.

"For today's mobile professionals, it is a necessity to stay connected to their email and other critical information while on-the-go," said Abhi Ingle, vice president of business data solutions for AT&T Wireless Mobile Multimedia Services. "Together with Intel, we are dramatically extending the reach of our wireless offerings. Whether looking for a Wi-Fi solution while in specific locations or high-speed wireless access via GPRS in cities at home and around the globe, today's corporate customers have more options than ever before for increasing their productivity and staying connected."

"Adding the rest of the mobile solution for our dealers via AT&T Wireless is a critical element in allowing end users to receive a full suite of products and services around mobility and wireless," said Tom Lacey, vice president, Intel Sales and Marketing Group. "The addition of AT&T Wireless services helps these dealers stay competitive and sell full solutions that complement the sale of notebook PCs based on Intel® Centrino™ mobile technology and drive adoption of handheld devices based on Intel® Personal Internet Client Architecture."

AT&T Wireless' range of complete wireless data solutions is industry leading. AT&T Wireless' next-generation network utilizes GSM/GPRS, the world's dominant wireless technology, offering unparalleled global roaming over any other wireless technology. In contrast to Wi-Fi local area networks that provide wireless connectivity in smaller geographic areas within fixed locations, GPRS uses existing cellular networks to provide seamless wide area connectivity within broad coverage areas around the world.

GPRS provides high-speed wireless connectivity at speeds comparable to analog dial-up modems. AT&T Wireless operates one of the largest GSM/GPRS networks in the United States with service in thousands of cities, and roaming agreements throughout Canada, Europe and Asia. Intel product dealers will be able to offer wireless data solutions for notebook PCs, voice-enabled Pocket PCs* and personal digital assistants.
