Intel Appoints 13 New Vice Presidents

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 18, 2002 -- Intel Corporation today announced the appointment of 13 individuals as vice president. They are Sohail Ahmed, Robert Crooke, Scott Darling, Timothy Dunn, Shmuel (Mooly) Eden, Kirk Hasserjian, Gary Hensley, Cary Klafter, Gulzar Mohd Ali, James OHara, Sunil Shenoy, Jacklyn Sturm and Janice Wilkins.

Ahmed, 43, is vice president of the Technology and Manufacturing Group and director of Portland Technology Development. In this role, Ahmed is responsible for the development and deployment of next generation manufacturing technologies that will produce future Intel microprocessors. Ahmed joined Intel in 1984.

Crooke, 39, is vice president of the Desktop Platforms Group and general manager of the Desktop Platform Solutions Division. He manages the company's development of motherboard products and desktop microprocessor and chipset enabling technology. Crooke joined Intel in 1989.

Darling, 46, is vice president of Intel Capital and director of the Computing Sector. He is responsible for managing Intel Capital's investments that support Intel's desktop, mobile and server microprocessor businesses, semiconductor manufacturing operations and emerging technologies research groups. Darling worked for Intel from 1984 to 1986 and rejoined the company in 1990.

Dunn, 41, is vice president of the Intel Communications Group and general manager of the LAN Access Division. He is responsible for the business strategy, operations, marketing, product planning and sales support of a broad line of Ethernet network interface cards, LAN-on-motherboard components and iSCSI products. Dunn worked for Intel from 1988 to 1991 and rejoined the company in 1994.

Eden, 51, is vice president of the Mobile Platforms Group and general manager of the Israel Development Center. He is responsible for the development of mobile microprocessors and chipsets, including Intel's wireless mobile computing technology, codenamed Banias, which will be introduced in the first half of 2003. Eden joined Intel in 1982.

Hasserjian, 45, is vice president of the Technology and Manufacturing Group and director of D2 Technology Development. Since 1999, he has been plant manager of Intel's Fab D2 in Santa Clara, Calif., where he oversees module development and production of Intel's most advanced wireless communications and computing products, including flash memory. Hasserjian joined Intel in 1982.

Hensley, 46, is vice president of the Technology and Manufacturing Group and director of Corporate Services. He manages Intel facilities operations worldwide, with responsibilities for Intel's office and factory buildings, corporate security, public affairs, and environmental health and safety. Hensley joined Intel in 1988.

Klafter, 54, is vice president of Legal and Government Affairs and director of Corporate Affairs. He oversees legal activities for the corporation's financial matters, including SEC filings, investments, mergers and acquisitions and investor relations, and also is responsible for corporate governance and board of directors matters. Klafter joined Intel in 1996.

Mohd Ali, 44, is vice president of the Technology and Manufacturing Group and general manager of Assembly and Test Manufacturing. Since 2001, she has overseen microprocessor and chipset assembly and test operations in Malaysia, the Philippines, Costa Rica and China. Mohd Ali joined Intel in 1981.

OHara, 51, is vice president of the Technology and Manufacturing Group, general manager of Ireland Operations, and plant manager of Intel's Fab 10/14 in Leixlip, Ireland. He is responsible for Intel's manufacturing operations in Ireland and for the site's strategic direction, management leadership and development, and government and community relations. OHara joined Intel in 1991.

Shenoy, 45, is vice president of the Desktop Platforms Group and director of CPU Development. He manages the company's desktop microprocessor design teams in Hillsboro, Ore.; Folsom, Calif.; Austin, Texas; and Penang, Malaysia. Shenoy joined Intel in 1981.

Sturm, 46, is vice president of Finance and Enterprise Services and controller for the Technology and Manufacturing Group. She oversees the financial management and controls for the company's technology development, manufacturing and capital investments. Sturm joined Intel in 1993.

Wilkins, 57, is vice president of Finance and Enterprise Services and director of Internal Audit. She manages a worldwide staff of internal auditors who provide assurance to the board of directors' audit committee and Intel's management team regarding the company's system of internal controls. She also reports directly to the board's audit committee. Wilkins joined Intel in 1980.
