Intel Launches Global Consumer Advertising Campaign

"Yes" TV Ads Depict a Day in the Digital Life of PC Users

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 16, 2002 - Intel Corporation this week launches a global consumer advertising campaign with television spots that depict a day in the digital life of people using the PC as a versatile all-in-one device for entertainment, productivity, communication and education.

Using the theme "Yes," the ad campaign is designed to build preference for the Intel Inside® brand and to demonstrate how PCs based on the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor and the Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor-M can enhance people's lives. Featuring two lifestyle spots and one education spot, the TV ads ask questions such as "Can a better computer really change your life?" and "Can a better computer change your child's life?" The answer is "Yes."

"The 'Yes' campaign uses strong lifestyle scenarios to show how the versatile PC is woven into the fabric of people's everyday lives," said Pam Pollace, Intel vice president and director of the Corporate Marketing Group. "The campaign has global appeal and it expresses the fun, productivity and sense of confidence that the Intel Inside brand brings to computing."

The new consumer ads, which will run in more than twenty countries, build upon the June-4 introduction of "Yes" advertising to business, marking the next phase of a larger integrated global marketing and advertising strategy designed to deliver unified messages about the Intel brand and the company's products and technology leadership.

The television ads begin in the United States during the primetime Emmy Awards telecast on Sept.22, followed by introductions in key global markets in late September and October. The campaign will also include targeted online advertising. Print advertisements will appear in select countries. The ads will run through the end of the year.

Euro RSCG MVBMS, New York, created the "Yes" television and print advertisements. The consumer online advertising campaign was developed by Modem Media, San Francisco.
