Available at a $49.99 manufacturer's suggested retail price, the Intel® Play™ Computer Sound Morpher is an affordable and easy-to-use toy that includes a detachable microphone allowing children to record sounds and voices while away from the PC.

The cool-looking translucent blue Computer Sound Morpher is packaged with a creative software suite. Once the toy is reattached to the PC, children can use this software to morph and mix their personal recordings and create funny new sentences and sounds.

The Intel Play Computer Sound Morpher software features lots of pre-set sounds, effects, animations, morphing tools like "echo" and "monster," and an exciting text-to-speech feature that helps bring the sounds from the child's imagination to life.

The software even lets children create wacky animated creatures that "talk" and move to the child's recordings. These 'creatures' can even be sent as e-mail postcards to friends and family.
