Intel Elects Four New Corporate Officers And Appoints 12 New Vice Presidents

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 17, 1999 -- Intel Corporation today announced the election of four new corporate officers and the appointment of 12 new vice presidents.

Corporate Officers
The four new corporate officers are Robert J. Baker, Jami K. Dover, Michael J. Fister and Thomas R. Franz. Baker is vice president and general manager, Fab/Sort Manufacturing. Baker, 44, is responsible for all of Intel's semiconductor wafer manufacturing, including microprocessors, controllers, flash memories, chipsets and other devices. He joined Intel in 1979.

Dover is vice president and director, Worldwide Marketing Operations. She is responsible for the company's global marketing functions including the Intel Inside® program, advertising, Internet marketing, channel marketing programs and corporate marketing communications. Dover, 41, has been with Intel since 1980.

Fister is vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Server Group. Fister, 45, leads the organization that develops, markets and supports Intel server solutions for customers targeting enterprise and Internet applications worldwide. He joined Intel in 1987.

Franz is vice president and general manager of the Applied Computing Products Division. He is responsible for embedded Intel architecture processors, chipset bridge components, StrongARM® processors and classic components for dedicated computing applications. Franz, 40, has been with Intel since 1980.

Appointed Vice Presidents
The newly appointed vice presidents are Anand Chandrasekher, Jai K. Hakhu, Brian L. Harrison, John L. Kehoe, Ann Lewnes, Lena J. McCleary, W. Eric Mentzer, Jon A. Olson, Sanjay D. Panditji, Joseph D. Schutz, Gregory S. Spirakis and Randy L. Steck.

Chandrasekher has been appointed a vice president, Intel Architecture Business Group. Chandrasekher, 36, is general manager of Intel's Workstation Products Group. He has been with Intel since 1988.

Hakhu has been appointed a vice president, Technology and Manufacturing Group. Hakhu, 49, is general manager of Technology Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for equipment development and procurement, automation, training and strategic research, as well as manufacturing and operational decision support technologies. He joined Intel in 1997.

Harrison has been appointed a vice president, Technology and Manufacturing Group. Harrison, 42, is general manager of Intel's assembly test manufacturing facilities worldwide. He has been with Intel since 1984.

Kehoe has been appointed a vice president, Network Communications Group. Kehoe, 53, is general manager of the Level One Communications Division and joined Intel when the company acquired Level One Communications in 1999.

Lewnes has been appointed a vice president, Sales and Marketing Group. Lewnes, 38, is director of Consumer Marketing, responsible for the promotion of Intel's consumer microprocessors and other products on a worldwide basis. She joined Intel in 1985.

McCleary has been appointed a vice president, Finance. McCleary, 39, manages operations finance for the Intel Architecture Business Group and the Sales and Marketing Group. She has been with Intel since 1983.

Mentzer has been appointed a vice president, Sales and Marketing Group. Mentzer, 39, is director of Sales Applications, Marketing and Services, responsible for accelerating and supporting the worldwide adoption of Intel technology, products, and initiatives. He joined Intel in 1985.

Olson has been appointed a vice president, Finance. Olson, 46, is controller for the Technology and Manufacturing Group, responsible for financial support worldwide. He has been with Intel since 1979.

Panditji has been appointed a vice president, New Business Group. Panditji, 48, is director of the Platform Architecture Lab, which develops platform architectures and technologies that help deliver the full benefits of Intel microprocessors to end users. He joined the company in 1978.

Schutz has been appointed a vice president of the Technology and Manufacturing Group. Schutz, 46, is director of microprocessor design in Intel's Logic Technology Development Organization, responsible for the development of high-volume microprocessors. He has been with Intel since 1981.

Spirakis has been appointed a vice president, Microprocessor Products Group. Spirakis, 38, is general manager of Design Technology, responsible for developing the computer-aided design technologies that Intel requires to design new microprocessors. He joined Intel in 1982.

Steck has been appointed a vice president of the Microprocessor Products Group. Steck, 43, is general manager of Intel's Performance Microprocessor Division, responsible for new microprocessor development. He began his Intel career in 1979.
