Intel Elects David S. Pottruck To Its Board Of Directors

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 11, 1998 -- Intel Corporation today announced that David S. Pottruck, president and co-chief executive officer of The Charles Schwab Corporation, has been elected to Intel's board of directors, effective Dec. 1, 1998.

Pottruck oversees all businesses and strategic development worldwide for The Charles Schwab Corporation and is a member of its board of directors. Prior to joining Schwab in 1984, Pottruck was senior vice president of consumer marketing and advertising for Shearson/American Express. He graduated in 1970 from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of arts and received his masters in business administration with honors from Wharton in 1972. Currently, Pottruck also serves on the boards of McKesson Corporation, Preview Travel, Inc., Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee, and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation. He is a trustee of the University of Pennsylvania.
