10x10 and Intel Partner for Girls and Women
Working together to close the education gap for girls and open a world of possibilities.
For decades, Intel has worked to improve education for the millions of girls around the world who have limited or no access to it at all. Intel believes that by closing the education gap for girls, their lives can be transformed—along with the lives of everyone they touch.
By providing access to technology, scholarships, and community learning programs, Intel offers girls and women greater opportunities for quality education and personal growth. Our global partnerships and programs emphasize technology and digital literacy to help girls and women advance their ideas.
Intel is proud to be the founding Strategic Action Partner with 10x10, a campaign to reach global audiences and inspire people to take action for girls. Girl Rising is a feature film at the center of the movement created to deliver a single message: Educating girls in developing nations will change the world.
Working together with 10x10, we will expand the awareness and impact of educational programs and put our passion, technology, and relationships toward making a real difference for girls and women around the world.
10x10’s feature film, Girl Rising, is directed by Academy Award nominee Richard Robbins and tells the stories of nine extraordinary girls from nine countries written by nine celebrated writers. The film is narrated by renowned actors Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, Selena Gomez, Liam Neeson, Priyanka Chopra, Chloë Moretz, Frieda Pinto, Salma Hayek, Meryl Streep, Alicia Keys, and Kerry Washington.
The 10x10 Fund for Girls’ Education has selected a high-impact network of organizations which provide life-changing services to girls every day, including A New Day Cambodia, CARE, UN Foundation’s Girl Up, Partners in Health, Plan International USA, Room to Read, and World Vision. Donations to this fund are distributed evenly among the 10x10 nonprofit partners.
See the film, spread the word. A portion of Girl Rising ticket sales will go to support girls’ programs around the world through the 10x10 Fund for Girls’ Education. 10×10 has partnered with Gathr, a web-based service that enables you to request a screening right in your neighborhood. In addition to buying tickets, you can help by donating directly to GirlRising.com.
