Why do I see junk packet on TX MAC in the F-Tile Ethernet Hard IP in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.2 ?

Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
    • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

    Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.2, it is found that, when flow control in the F-Tile Ethernet Hard IP is changed from YES to NO (or) from NO to YES, while packet transmission is in progress the resulting packet is seen corrupted.

    Resolution

    Currently there is no workaround.

    This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
