Why does the TX Equalizer parameter setting in the GTS Transceiver Toolkit not reflect the same value as one set in the QSF and Analog Parameters tab?

Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.2 and before, the TX Equalizer parameter in the GTS Transceiver Toolkit will show an invalid TX EQ setting and doesn’t reflect the same value as one set in the QSF and Analog Parameters tab of the GTS PMA/FEC Direct PHY FPGA IP GUI.

    Resolution

To work around this problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.2 and before, use direct register access method to read and write TX Equalizer parameter value in the GTS PMA/FEC Direct PHY FPGA IP.  Please refer to the GTS PMA Register Map for TX Equalizer offset register.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
