Why aren't my Memory Initialization Files (MIF) archived along with the rest of my project?

Environment

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus™ Prime Pro Edition Software versions 23.3 and 23.4, you might see the Memory Initialization Files (MIF) are not included in the output file when archiving a project. This happens because the archiver does not include MIF files automatically discovered by the synthesis tools unless they are explicitly listed in the project settings file.

Resolution

To work around this problem in the Quartus™ Prime Pro Edition Software versions 23.3 and 23.4, explicitly list the MIF files in the settings file for the archiver to include them in the archived file.
Alternatively, download and install the patches provided below:

This problem has been fixed beginning with the Quartus™ Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.1
