Error (12793): Rapid Recompile does not support certain project assignments or settings that have been added, modified, or deleted since the previous compilation

Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
    • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

    Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.1, you might see this error during synthesis. The error occurs when running the Rapid Recompile flow with changes to your Signal Tap file.

    Error (12793): Rapid Recompile does not support certain project assignments or settings that have been added, modified, or deleted since the previous compilation
    Info (12844): Assignment OCS_IP_FILE with value <path>/alt_sld_fab_0.ip was added to node "|".
    Info (12844): Assignment OCS_IP_FILE with value <path>/alt_sld_fab_0.ip was deleted from node "|".

    Resolution

    To work around this problem, run a full compile instead of using the Rapid Recompile flow.

    This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
