Why is the content in the Quartus® Settings File(qsf)  lost after compilation?

Environment

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition

Windows 11* Family, Windows Server 2019 family*, Windows® 10 family

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.2 Windows revision, you might see the content in the .qsf lost after running compilation in the GUI.

 

Resolution

To work around this problem, perform either of these actions

  • Compile the design in Linux OS
  • Use command line instead of GUI to compile in Windows OS.

This problem has been fixed beginning with the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.3.
