Why does the HPS configuration fail using the hps_auto SOF file in HPS boot first mode?

Environment

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Design Software

Description

Due to a problem in Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.4 and later, you might see HPS configuration failure over JTAG with the hps_auto.sof in HPS boot first mode. 

Resolution

The hps_auto SOF file is not suggested to be used anymore, please follow the latest SoC FPGA boot use guide to use the generated hps.rbf file to configure HPS over JTAG.
