    Description

    Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 22.1, the following error message might occur when you select Single Compressed Image configuration mode in the On-Chip Flash FPGA IP for designs targeting MAX® 10 FPGA Compact variant.

    Error: *.onchip_flash_0: UFM sector does not support "Hidden" mode. Please update the Access Mode setting.

    For the MAX® 10 FPGA Compact variant, dynamic UFM size is not supported, and UFM space only consists of UFM0 and UFM1. For more details, refer to the MAX® 10 User Flash Memory User Guide.

    Resolution

    To work around this problem in the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 22.1, follow these steps:

    1. Set the Access Mode of affected sectors to Read Only.

    2. Ensure your user logic does not access any address within these sectors.

    This problem has been fixed in the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 23.1.
