Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 22.1 and earlier, if a 16-bit Data Width Avalon® Memory Mapped Slave (e.g. OCRAM) is connected to Nios® V/m processor as Instruction and Data memory, it will result in below error when you run "Run As > Ashling RISC-V (auto-detect) Hardware Debugging" in RiscFree* IDE:
To workaround this problem, add an Avalon® -MM Pipeline Bridge between your Nios® V and your slave memory (e.g. OCRAM) in Platform Designer.
This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version.
