Why does the quartus_pgm command for checking the configuration status not work in Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.2?

In Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.2, you may observe that the command line below to check the configuration status of Intel Agilex® 7 or Intel® Stratix® 10 devices using the quartus_pgm command is not working. 

quartus_pgm -c <cable> -mjtag --status

To work around this problem, you can use Configuration Debugger Tool or send the SDM mailbox command CONFIG_STATUS [0x4] to check the configuration status.

Refer to Intel Agilex® 7 Configuration User Guide, Intel® Stratix® 10 Configuration User Guide, and Mailbox Client Intel® FPGA IP User Guide for more information about the CONFIG_STATUS command.

This problem is planned to be fixed in a future release of Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
