Why does the Intel® FPGA IP Evaluation Mode fail to evaluate the F-Tile Serial Lite IV Intel® FPGA IP?

Environment

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.1 and earlier, you might observe that the Intel® FPGA IP Evaluation Mode cannot successfully evaluate the F-Tile Serial Lite IV Intel® FPGA IP.

This is caused by a problem in the F-Tile Serial Lite IV OpenCore plus (OCP) file, which prevents the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software from generating a time-limited programming file (.sof).

Resolution

There is no workaround available.

This problem will be fixed in a future release of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
