Why does the Questa*-Intel® FPGA Edition simulator fail simulations with error message: "Error (suppressible): (vopt-14408) Intel FPGA Edition recommended capacity is 5000 non-OEM instances" ?

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.4, you might observe the "Error (suppressible): (vopt-14408) Intel FPGA Edition recommended capacity is 5000 non-OEM instances." error message in the Questa*-Intel® FPGA Edition simulations with the following IPs:

• Interlaken (2nd Generation) Intel® FPGA IP
• F-Tile Interlaken Intel® FPGA IP
• Serial Lite IV Intel® FPGA IP
• F-Tile Dynamic Reconfiguration Suite Intel® FPGA IP
• F-Tile Ethernet Intel® FPGA Hard IP

This is because the Questa*-Intel® FPGA Edition simulator does not support the above IPs.

To avoid this simulation failure, you have to adopt other simulators.

This problem is not scheduled to be fixed as the listed IPs are not supported by the Questa*-Intel® FPGA Edition simulator.
