Description

Yes, from the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 17.1 for Stratix® 10 devices and Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 19.3 for Agilex™ 7 devices, all the information about the Serial NOR Flash is self-discovered through the Serial Flash Discoverable Parameters (SFDP) interface.

Resolution

When you create the .JIC flash image file, select any supported Serial NOR Flash device. The selected flash device can be the one with the smallest size that you are considering in your design. If the other Serial NOR Flash devices are also in the supported devices list and they are equal or bigger size than what you initially selected, the image can be reused and would work without any problem.
