Why is there a functional failure, such as a PCIe/Ethernet link up failure, after reconfiguration of an Intel® Agilex™ device has completed successfully when using Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.1?

    Description

    Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.1, if you are using an Intel® Agilex™ device in Active Serial (AS) configuration mode and using Programming File Generator version 22.1 to generate the configuration bitstream from the .sof file, you might see a functional failure, such as a PCIe/Ethernet link up failure, after reconfiguration has completed successfully.

    Resolution

    To fix this problem, use the Programming File Generator from the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.2, and download and install the following patch:

     

    This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
