Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.4 and 22.1, you might experience functional problems in designs that include an instance of the R-Tile Avalon® Streaming Intel® FPGA IP for PCI Express.

The functional problems only happen when loading a SRAM Object File (.sof) using an Intel® Quartus® Prime Software Programmer version that doesn't match with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software version used to generate the .sof file. Use the following table as reference:

Intel® Quartus® Prime Software Programmer versionIntel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software versionResult

21.422.1Potential functional problems
22.121.4Potential functional problems
22.122.1No functional problems

Resolution

To work around this problem, load the SRAM Object File (.sof) with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software Programmer version that matches the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software version used to generate the .sof file
